An artist has created a way to make small spaces feel more spacious – by projecting ‘windows’ onto the walls.
Bernardo Schorr’s idea, called ‘Mixed Reality Living Spaces’, offers an answer to future housing, which will probably be smaller and windowless (or ‘one-room-living’).
Schorr uses video-based technology to completely transform a room – not only could ‘daytime’ and ‘night’ scenes help to keep your body clock in check, but users could be a bit more adventurous. Why not, as one website suggests, go on a safari in your living room?
The artist also recommends using modular furniture in the small spaces, which would help you to arrange the room to your needs, with the projected windows rounding off the look.
‘Mixed Reality Living Spaces’ is a promising idea, which could help brighten up future urban housing and give it a really exciting versatility.
