Luca Nichetto and Urban Capital have created a ‘mobile home’ in the shape of a cube, which can be broken down and moved at will.
Showcased at Toronto’s 2015 Interior Design Show, the Cubitat consists of several modular units, which can be separated and reassembled in a new location with relative ease.
The design of the Cubitat is both functional and aesthetic: rich burgundies complement deep creams and browns, a warm colour palette which adds a sense of luxury to what could have been an austere design.
The contrast between matte and sleek surfaces adds further interest to the Cubitat, which emphasises its modular design with bold lines forming interesting geometric patterns.
Geometrics continue to be on trend during 2015 adding interest and depth to walls or providing fun conversation pieces as ornaments or objects d’art placed at focal points around a room.
