A flat in London has been given a bold refresh with a colourful collection of High Street finds, vintage pieces, and the owner’s works of art.
The makeover, by Bhavin Taylor Design, makes the most of a tight budget and a compact one-bedroom space to provide plenty of interest, depth, and texture with a very welcoming, homely, and personal touch.
Fresh, summery colours stand out in the scheme, with yellows, oranges, and greens complementing the neutral woods and whites that form the timeless backdrop of the home.
These colours are generally associated with smaller fixtures, such as these fun dining chairs, cute coffee table accessories and the striking lamp in the corner of the lounge, and soft furnishings, like the variety of cushions that work perfectly with the slate-grey sofa.
These provide pops of colour throughout the space and are easily interchangeable, which, teamed with such a understated base, can be switched around for an instantly new look.
The owner’s paintings add further depth of colour, with rich reds adding another dimension and drawing attention to the white walls.
This combination of High Street and vintage comes together to create a colourful, unified apartment, showing what a small budget and a small space can achieve.
