An old paper mill in the French village of Anduze has been given a modern-rustic update as a contemporary loft apartment with a sleek, monochrome interior.
The apartment was renovated by Planet Studio, who have reused a range of materials in order to define the space with interesting features, such as the triangular beams that draw attention to the high vaulted ceiling.
Space is so important in this scheme, which packs so many elements in one space - the mezzanine level is the perfect example of this, providing an extra living/working area.
Colour and texture work in perfect harmony here, with the white and black contrasting with the recycled exposed wood for a classic yet subtly subversive feel.
The white walls and ceiling have a tinge of blue, complementing the grey stone-effect floor, while the overall space is defined by angular black elements.
The unusual aspect of this space is the exterior garden area, which is semi-covered and continues the monochrome and wooden motifs from the lounge, with live greenery adding a more relaxed, earthy atmosphere.
