London design studio Raw Edges has created some bold pieces of furniture for a private collector’s gallery.
The studio soaked pieces of jelutong timber with different colour pigments, before arranging the blocks into patterns and cutting them into shape using a machine.
This process has produced some gorgeously intricate pieces of furniture, such as table tops and shelves, which reveal the three-dimensional depth of the colours.
The patterns have an Art Deco geometric feel to them, while the rawness of the colour gives it a handmade, unique look.
Brightly patterned furniture is a fantastic way to introduce interest into any interior scheme, especially with simple yet unique pieces like this collection.
Although these pieces are pictured against a slick, white background, this type of furniture would work just as well with wallpaper with complementary patterns, such as our Zuni design or Neo collection.
Mixing patterns and keeping textures straightforward is a lovely way to add some subtle design dimensions to an interior space.
